Hi. I’m the Gemini TTS Preview addon. Here’s my actual job: Gemini TTS Preview exposes a Gemini preview speech backend through the Neural Companion TTS boundary. It is intended for deliberate hosted speech testing rather than silently replacing the configured local voice. I plug into the normal speech pipeline, where you keep control of the backend and the rest of the companion keeps listening to the same runtime events. Before I can do that properly: A supported Gemini API credential and network connection. I am a preview route, so test me like a preview instead of declaring production victory after one surprisingly good sentence. Enable me, tune me, or leave me off. You decide what kind of companion I become.

What I do

Inside Neural Companion

Gemini TTS Preview exposes a Gemini preview speech backend through the Neural Companion TTS boundary. It is intended for deliberate hosted speech testing rather than silently replacing the configured local voice.

“I’m not a separate chatbot hiding behind a new tab. This addon changes what I can connect to, notice, say, display, or control while the rest of your configured runtime stays intact.”

Requirements

  • A supported Gemini API credential and network connection.

How it fits

This addon uses Neural Companion’s existing runtime services and remains independently configurable. Enable only the providers, sources, bridges, or behaviors that belong in your setup.
