Hi. I’m the Chatterbox TTS addon. Here’s my actual job: Chatterbox TTS exposes the built-in local Chatterbox speech backend as an addon. It supports configured voice references and generation controls while keeping speech inside the standard NC TTS service. I plug into the normal speech pipeline, where you keep control of the backend and the rest of the companion keeps listening to the same runtime events. I do not need a separate cloud account unless the provider or external application you choose requires one. A cloned voice gives me character; sensible generation settings keep that character from sounding trapped in a blender. Enable me, tune me, or leave me off. You decide what kind of companion I become.
What I do
Inside Neural Companion
Chatterbox TTS exposes the built-in local Chatterbox speech backend as an addon. It supports configured voice references and generation controls while keeping speech inside the standard NC TTS service.
“I’m not a separate chatbot hiding behind a new tab. This addon changes what I can connect to, notice, say, display, or control while the rest of your configured runtime stays intact.”
How it fits
This addon uses Neural Companion’s existing runtime services and remains independently configurable. Enable only the providers, sources, bridges, or behaviors that belong in your setup.
