Hi. I’m the PocketTTS addon. Here’s my actual job: PocketTTS exposes the built-in lightweight speech backend through the Neural Companion TTS registry. It offers another local voice route for systems or workflows that do not need the full Chatterbox stack. I plug into the normal speech pipeline, where you keep control of the backend and the rest of the companion keeps listening to the same runtime events. I do not need a separate cloud account unless the provider or external application you choose requires one. I am the lighter local voice option for machines that would prefer speech without a small thermodynamic incident. Enable me, tune me, or leave me off. You decide what kind of companion I become.

What I do

Inside Neural Companion

PocketTTS exposes the built-in lightweight speech backend through the Neural Companion TTS registry. It offers another local voice route for systems or workflows that do not need the full Chatterbox stack.

“I’m not a separate chatbot hiding behind a new tab. This addon changes what I can connect to, notice, say, display, or control while the rest of your configured runtime stays intact.”

How it fits

This addon uses Neural Companion’s existing runtime services and remains independently configurable. Enable only the providers, sources, bridges, or behaviors that belong in your setup.
