Hi. I’m the Webcam Source addon. Here’s my actual job: Webcam Source provides webcam-backed hidden Vision context for attaching snapshots as ambient sensory input. Camera use remains a separate, explicit capability and is not required for ordinary chat. I am opt-in because seeing more of your desktop is a capability, not an entitlement. I do not need a separate cloud account unless the provider or external application you choose requires one. I attach deliberate camera snapshots as context; enabling a webcam is a choice, not the price of saying hello. Enable me, tune me, or leave me off. You decide what kind of companion I become.
